Minutes of Baldwin Hills ARC Meeting 6/4/97 The sixth 1997 meeting of the Baldwin Hills Amateur Radio Club was called to order by the President, Greg, KD6AIS, at 7:42 PM on June fourth. Also in attendance were Robert, KF6CHA, the Vice-President; Hugh, NV6H, the Secretary; Ed, WA6MDJ, Chairman of the Board of Directors; and David, N6HGJ, our dedicated Membership Chairman/ Treasurer. Due to an open house at the Veteran's Memorial Building, the Club met in the Senior Citizens' Center next door. I. Old Business: 1. The Secretary read the minutes of the May meeting. These were accepted. 2. The membership card saga continued, as the latest bunch from Staples was found satisfactory. Soon as I can get the roster from David, we'll make up a bunch for the currently paid-up members. 3. David reported that the Club had $685.01 in its account. This is lower than last month, because $418 was spent on liability insurance, and $40 for (yes!) the membership cards. 4. Ed, WA6MDJ, reported on the status of Field Day. It will be held at the Veterans' Administration, and the yummy Saturday dinner is the usual $10. (Both happened. FD participation was low, but the food was up to the usual high standard.) 5. The President thanked everyone who worked at the UNCF Walk-A-Thon. BARC has also paid its $10 dues for LAACARC. Finally, Greg has gotten the receiver on Baldwin Hills turned on. (It works.) II. New Business: 1. The President announced the night's program, which consisted of some older Field Day videos that nobody had seen in quite a while. Everyone looked a lot younger. It was fun seeing these. He adjourned the business portion of the meeting, at around 8:15 PM, until 7:30 PM on July 2, 1997. We partook of Samir's really good refreshments. Submitted for approval this 2nd day of July, 1997 by Hugh Stegman NV6H, Secretary
