Minutes of Baldwin Hills ARC Meeting 4/4/01
The fourth 2001 meeting of the Baldwin Hills Amateur Radio Club was called
to order at 1939 on April 4, 2001, by the Secretary, Hugh, NV6H.
Also present were the Vice-President, Juan, KB6KMU, and
David, N6HGJ, our Membership Chairman and Treasurer. 5
members were in attendance.
Old Business:
- The Secretary read the minutes of the
March meeting, which were accepted as read, and published to
the Club web site. He also reported on how ARRL had forced two
intruders to leave amateur bands by writing them up for the FCC.
- The Treasurer reported that we have the
same $400 in the Club account. There was some discussion from
the floor regarding whether access to the membership treasury
should go back to WA6MDJ, seeing as right now he's the only one
who can get to the account.
- The Membership Chairman (same guy), reported
that we now have 9 renewals.
New Business:
- Major, one of our long time members, introduced
David Roy, a 9th grader who is into model rocketry and who needs
a tech license to fly transmitters. He was given a few pointers.
- Dieter, KD6LVW, passed along the
new location for VE testing. It's at the swap meet, in the TRW
cafeteria, Building S, Lower Level 10-12. Seven people made it
to the first session despite lack of publicity.
- The Secretary, who was still kind of in
charge of things for some reason, thanked Samir for his amazing
record providing eats for the Club, and ended the meeting.
With this, we stood ADJOURNED at 2030, until
May 2, 2001.
